Fall Ball

The MPA Student Association at school hosts a Fall Ball every fall. Last night was the night! Felt like High School Prom all over again, but it was fun. I only got a couple pictures, but here are a couple of friends in my program. We had a good time and the view from the Elliott School where the dance was held was to die for! We could see the Capitol, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial. These are some of the moments I love about being in DC.

My friend, Sarah, from Connecticut.

Friend, Alex, from California

Halloween '09

It's hard to believe it's been over a month since I've posted anything. Time just slips by!

For Halloween this year, I went to a fun barn dance with all the LDS singles in the DC area. It was nice to be in a new social scene this year so that I didn't have the pressure of having to come up with a completely orginial costume idea- one that friends in Utah have come to expect each year. So the pressure was off and I used a costume from a previous year...Cindy Lou Who!

My dear friends Eve, Katherine, and Charlotte (L to R)...not sure who the girl on the end is.

By this time in the night, all the cotton I had taped on my coat fell off, so it doesn't look quite as good as it did at the beginning of the night. We had a good time!
I also ran into a fun friend, Sherlock Holmes, from my BYU days. Didn't know he was out here, so it was a good surprise to see him!

The next night I went to a Murder Mystery party with a friend in my ward and some of her friends. It was a hippie setting, hence the "peace" earrings and necklace, tye-dye, and mis-matching outfit. (Someone actually though the shirt and skirt went together. Funny.)

The crew

Not sure. A little awkward. Hmm.
